The animated version is based on the white picket fence that was the only thing left after the Great Hinckley Fire of 1862 in MN. I painted this after seeing climate change related media stories of burning suburbs in California and flooding houses after Hurricanes that hit New York. One of which destoyed my father=in- laws house.
